I made some "posters" for Lauren and Marilyn today. I used Yupo paper and dripped color down the page, let that dry, then used a brush to paint the words.

I worked on the apple painting last evening. I'd like to have more whites in the bucket. I could scratch out some whites, or use opaque white.
















I drew some daisies/lilacs today and painted the first layer of color this evening.

I wet my sketch, waited for the paper to dry a bit, then added the first layer of color. The colors bled together so I lifted out the light areas with a damp brush.

I thought it would be fun to draw during my work break on a post card size piece of paper, paint it in the evening, and then send them in the mail to unsuspecting friends and family. These ended up being too large, but I cut some more paper to the correct dimensions for tomorrow.

I've been playing with doing small watercolors of this sunflower.  I think it would make a good 'drippy' painting the way the sunflower head is down. Meaning I'd let the paint drip down the page for the yellow petals. I'll keep practicing. (the one with the white mat corners around it is the photograph I'm using)
